Lights First Appear in Siem Reap
Issued: 01 May 2002 Progress does not stop at the doors of Angkor and Siem Reap recently saw the installation of the first two traffic lights in town, and probably of all north-west Cambodia. The first light regulates traffic at the crossing between the airport road and the main road to the town centre Sivatha Boulevard while the second light is installed on National Road No.6 en route to Roluos. A small step for Siem Reap but a big challenge for its road users - within the first hour two accidents were registered at the Sivatha Boulevard intersection! Return to Cambodia Travel News |
