The Cambodian government has agreed to open Sa-Ngam pass on the
Thai-Cambodian border but is waiting for the green light from Bangkok before
it goes ahead, according to the deputy chief-of-staff of the Fourth Military
Region of Cambodia. The pass on the border with Si Sa Ket Province in
Thailand, is now safe following the clearance of all land mines on the
Cambodian side of the border.
