aims for 1 million visitors in 2003

Cambodia's Senior Minister for Tourism, Mr. Veng Sereyvuth, has predicted the country will receive one million overseas visitors in 2003. The Minister said tourism growth was being accompanied by upgrading railway lines, the opening of borders and further liberalization of its visa policies. He added that upcoming events such as the Jose Carreras concert at Angkor Wat would position Angkor Wat as a truly world-class tourism destination.
