Cambodian Sars case given all clear Issued: 25 May 2003
The boy who has been studying for three months in Guangdong province, China's heavily hit area by Sars was admitted to hospital due to his Sars-like symptoms including fever and respiratory problem found two days before his departure from China. However, after three days of isolation and monitoring in the hospital, tests had concluded that the boy did not have the flu-like virus. So far, Cambodia is still free of Sars, though it cannot escape the outspread effect over the region in a plunge of tourism.
