KBAL CHHAY CLOSED FOR TOURISTS

Kbal Chhay, a popular excursion and picnic spot 5 km from Sihanoukville has been closed to the public until further notice.

VISA ISSUANCE AT POIPET

A Cambodian visa can now be obtained on the spot at the Poi Pet land border post between Thailand and Cambodia. Cost and procedure as usual USD 20 + 1 passport-sized photo, but expect some "delays" as this is a new formality.

The Grand Hotel D'Angkor has launched a New Year 2001 package with a minimum stay of 3 nights for bookings checking in between 29/12/2000 (Friday) and 31/12/2000 (Sunday).

Payment Requirements: The Grand Hotel D'Angkor requires a 50% deposit for the package upon reservation. Full payment is required at least three months before the arrival date. Reservations will be held on a tentative basis. A reservation will only be guaranteed upon full payment. All reservations are based on a first-come first-served basis.

For your information, airline seats to/from Siem Reap are limited, especially for flights on December 29th, 30th 2000 and January 1st, 2nd 2001. Please plan accordingly!

Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation, the deposit will be forfeited.

Check In / Check Out: The hotel's official check-in time is 14.00h; check out time is 12.00 noon. The hotel will make every effort to accommodate guests who arrive before 14:00 hours. A half-day charge is applicable for late check-outs (up to 18:00 hours). A room occupied beyond 18:00 hours will be charged at full rate. Generally, late check-outs are subject to room availability and are very difficult to obtain during the high season.
