An interesting new way to reach Phnom Penh is in the making with the creation of a speedboat service operated by the Victoria Resorts Group based in Vietnam. The boat with a capacity of 10 passengers is running on a demand basis at the moment between the Victoria Chau Doc Hotel in Chau Doc and Phnom Penh or vice versa. The boat docks near the Sofitel Cambodiana Hotel in PNH. If traveling to Vietnam a 1-night stay is required before continuing to Ho Chi Minh City.

Immigration and customs formalities are arranged at the border crossing. The trip between PNH and Chau Doc takes approximately 4-5 hours.
