CAMBODIA FLOOD

You will have seen the CNN reports and read about the flooding in
Cambodia. While parts of the population are very much affected, our tour
operations continue as normal and no tour had to be cancelled.
The only adjustment we have to make is for the full day Mekong cruises where the visits of the village are no more possible due to the high water level. We are offering shortened boat trips where you can actually see the extent of the flooding and then additional city sightseeing. However, boat trip from
Phnom Penh to Siem Reap is OK.

The level of the Mekong is at around 11m in PNH, and the forecast is stable.
Svay Rieng and Prey Veng provinces between Phnom Penh and the Vietnamese border are heavily flooded. The road connection on Highway 1 to Saigon has been cut off. So no overland connection possible, flying is recommended.

Our first outing with rice donations to villagers affected by the flood took
place last Sunday and was a big success....and we will set out again on this Sunday 24 September to distribute around 6 tons of rice to other villages.
