A Packing Guide for a Quick Weekend Getaway

Now that the world is on its way to returning to normality and we have all received the go-ahead to head out on holiday. If you are someone that has been pining for a holiday for some time now, then you may be thinking of heading on a last-minute weekend getaway. After all, what is the point in waiting and planning a big trip for the future when we have no idea if we will even be able to go away in the next few months? In times as certain as these, you really have to take every opportunity that you get to getaway.

If you are someone that doesn’t often go on weekend getaways very often then you may not know what you need to pack. If you are someone that goes away on bigger holidays, then you may be worried about overpacking. Here is a packing guide for a quick weekend getaway.

Take Towels

One of the biggest bits of advice that we can give you for going on a weekend getaway is to bring towels. For the most part, towels will be provided for you, but they are often provided within limitations. Holiday destinations usually provide two towels, which is fine if you’re only there for an evening, but it doesn’t take into account a number of different factors. Imagine if you go to a place with a hot tub, the worst thing would be having to dry off with the exact towel that you used to dry off with after the shower.

You can also never confirm how well the towels have been washed and so to ensure that you know that the towels are clean, so it is best to just bring your own to make sure.

Bring Sleeping Aids

If you are someone that finds it hard to sleep in unfamiliar places, we recommend that you bring sleeping aids. When you go on a longer holiday, you have the time to get used to sleeping in an unfamiliar place, but you don’t really get the chance to do that when you are there for the weekend.  There is nothing worse than ruining your holiday due to lack of sleep, so you should bring items that you know will help you sleep.

We recommend that you bring a pillow that you are used to sleeping on, but if you need something stronger you could bring cbd oil that you can mix with your nighttime cup of tea. CBD oil is known to ease feelings of stress and worry, which means that you will find it much easier to fall asleep when you feel as though you need to.

If you are someone that really struggles to sleep, then you could also try taking sleeping pills as they will be guaranteed to help you settle in for the night.

Don’t pack too much

The biggest mistake that people tend to make when going on weekend getaways is packing far too many items of clothing. You simply do not need to take more than three outfits for your entire weekend, unless you have something special planned for your holiday.

We recommend that you take into account what you will be doing over the weekend, once you have done that you will be able to plan out exactly which outfits you will need and how many items of clothing you will need to pack. You should also take into account what the weather will be like where you are, as you don’t want to go somewhere thinking it will be sunny and end up having to deal with an onslaught of rain without any preparation.
